Creating Hope International (CHI) was founded on a vision of improving the daily lives of the under served, often silent victims of world strife, devastating natural disasters, crumbling economies, and political systems which suppress natural human rights.

In the wake of these natural or human-made disasters, everyday people like you and I struggle to obtain those things which we most often take for granted: food, shelter, health care, employment and education. Lacking these life necessities, people are deprived of their dignity, their self esteem and self-determination so crucial to the human spirit. 

In response to these needs, rather than providing short-term grants or limited-impact charity work,CHI begins projects with grassroots organizations to help them respond with local solutions when they face problems.

• We invest in local, community action,
• building local education and health resources,
• training people in the skills they need to continue the work on their own in the future.

In the process,

• we restore people's self-confidence,
• help them develop expertise,
• and assist in creating new, thriving communities out of the ashes of the old.

Whether CHI is training teachers and nurses in Afghanistan, providing education for girls in Pakistan or working with Mexican villagers to build latrines our aim is to bring hope and constructive help to the local people so they can direct efforts to rebuild their communities.
